About the apprenticeship
Duties
• The Purchase of both Direct and Indirect materials to serve the operational needs of a dynamic semiconductor manufacturing company in Bridgend.
• The Supply of Direct raw materials to the production department and indirect goods to engineering and support staff.
• The safe and efficient storage and distribution of sensitive key materials and chemicals to the lab, including exposure to our bespoke MaskTrac software application.
• The maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation aiding subsequent invoice approval, including risk management.
• The recording of all material movements and receipts efficiently, effectively and accurately.
• The handling of reverse logistics activities and subsequent sales.
• The activities involved in clearing customs for imported goods.
• Full training will be provided on the aspects of our Oracle application to purchase, receipt and manage goods and services for key stakeholders.

Part of being an apprentice at Photronics means you get to work on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey over a 3-4 year apprenticeship.
When you join the business, you will be allocated mentor to support you through your apprenticeship. At the same time you will be signed up with a specialist training provider who will deliver the academic element. To support you, 20% of your standard weekly working hours will be spent studying for your apprenticeship qualification.
We will also expect you to finish the elements of the structured learning plan, attendance to all performance evaluations, rotations across the business as well as developing your professional competence throughout.
