About the apprenticeship
Duties
• Deal with patient queries at the front desk
• Deal with patient queries and take appointment requests via telephone
• Print repeat prescriptions
• Send letters and other documentation to patients
• Book appointments from our online booking system when required
• Liaise with clinicians to ensure we offer the very best service to our patients
Additional information
This is a challenging role in, in a challenging environment. However, you will become part of a very close-knit team. You will learn a wide range of skills and learn how healthcare services run.
The role is also very rewarding, focussing on helping people in need.
The experience you will gain from this role will offer you significant confidence and growth in personal development and will keep challenging you day by day.
There is a big focus on teamwork at the practice and an equally big focus on developing each employee's skill set so that you are developing at all times.
There is an excellent support network of management who are there to help you develop in a friendly and encouraging manner.
Requirements
Skills
We are looking for an individual who has a willingness to learn and a determination to be the best version of themselves. The ability communicate well with others, including patients and co-workers is essential.
The ability to take feedback constructively and apply what you have learned is also key. The ability to type and willingness deal with queries by phone and face to face is also essential.
Qualifications
There are no specific qualifications required for this role.
We are more interested in employing individuals that are prepared to work hard, listen to feedback and continually look to learn and apply what they have learned.
The ability to touch type is desirable but not preferrable.
GCSE's in English, Maths and Science at grades A-D are desirable.
The ability to speak Welsh is also desirable but not essential.
