Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice with The Pharmacy Group, a pharmacy company based in Leeds.

Job Description:

As IT Support & Compliance Assistant you will be a valued contributor to our IT infrastructure, you will be part of a warm, friendly, and forward-thinking team responsible for supporting with the general everyday challenges facing all modern businesses. You will be expected to support in resolving a range of IT and security-related challenges across our group in an organised and timely manner. No day will be the same in what is a fast-paced, exciting new role, with the successful candidate naturally striving to provide great customer service to both our external and internal stakeholders.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Supporting our pharmacies with IT queries and problems.
  • Setting up hardware for new and existing pharmacies.
  • Basic installation, configuration & support of I.T equipment such as PC’s, laptops etc.
  • Ensuring appropriate staff members have access to platforms they need.
  • Ensuring pharmacies have adequate stock of IT consumables.
  • Updating online profiles for our pharmacies and developing social media presence.
  • Auditing the use of our software systems to ensure good compliance. Take ownership of our internal I.T help desk & helpline. Create/log, manage and record I.T help desk requests received either by telephone, email or raised internally within our CRM in a timely manner. Ensure all members of the Pharmacy teams have working smart cards and provide support/training for any issues that may arise. Ensure all members of the Pharmacy teams have a working NHS email address. Provide support & training where necessary. Work as a team member, providing support to colleagues as and when required. Administering/management of the IT asset database (keep a log of company equipment etc.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • IT Troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • An ability to grasp different IT Software.
  • Good communication, teamwork and time management skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • A methodical, step-by-step approach to resolving issues.
  • Adaptability to engage in project work.
  • The ability to work under direction, use discretion and determine when to escalate issues.
  • Interested in building a career in IT.
  • Willing to learn.
  • Trustworthy and understanding of confidentiality issues.

Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage. Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components. Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance. Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards. Support the information systems needs for your business.
