What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice, you will
  • Assist with the planning, designing and support of construction and maintenance of infrastructure that is vital to the UK.
  • You can also expect to carry out site investigations, liaise with clients and subcontractors
  • Manage budgets/resources all whilst ensuring projects run to health and safety, sustainability, and legal requirements.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Over the 5 ½ years on the programme you will gain valuable practical skills as well as academic knowledge from our training provider, Coventry University. You can also expect:
  • Working on exciting and meaningful Kier projects alongside industry leading teams
  • Attending weeklong block releases at university each month, with Kier providing you with accommodation
  • Support and guidance to help you achieve professional membership/chartership
  • Upon completion and graduation, you will hold an accredited Level 6 (BSc) in your chosen discipline
