What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Project Management Apprentice in our Quality Services team, your work in a fast paced environment will be varied, but rewarding. You primary role will to act as the support between our clients and field staff supporting delivery of Quality Surveillance and Management Services. You will assist in creating project plans and task instructions which account for every detail of each workstream required to ensure a successful project of work; manage project documentation, planning and financial reporting; work closely with stakeholders and colleagues; organise and attend stakeholder meetings and work closely with Project Managers across multiple projects. You will also be encouraged to think creatively and intuitively in driving continuous improvement

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will attend the University of Cumbria to study a Project Management degree apprenticeship and gain a bachelors qualification, as well as completing your End Point Assessment. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development programme to help you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully achieve your apprenticeship, and support your career in Project Management.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As this is a permanent position, after gaining your degree, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to work towards gaining Chartered status with your chosen institution, as well as the opportunity to pursue your further study and training goals.
