What will the apprentice be doing?
  • All aspects of woodland and forestry management
  • Timber harvesting operation management
  • Meeting conservation and biodiversity targets within the woodland and forestry management
  • The application of grants and implementing them on the ground
  • Public engagement and representing our company when meeting and engaging with land owner and managers
  • Managing and improving public access, health and safety, contractor management will also be major factors

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard No. 0926 in Countryside Ranger:
  • Level 4 Countryside Ranger - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • LANTRA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
  • C&G/NPTC 0014-26 L2 Award in the Safe Use of Brush-cutters and Trimmer
  • Edexcel Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (Exemptions Apply)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
