What will the apprentice be doing?
  • Assist on applying theory to practice, developing your interpersonal and professional skills essential to all quantity surveyors
  • Begin to develop a solid understanding of our commercial practices, developing your business acumen whilst learning processes and deliverables for commercially successful projects
  • Build compelling working relationships, developing your communication skills to collaborate with clients and stakeholders
  • Develop your analytical skills, learning to problem solve to produce innovative, industry-standard solutions

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
  • Quantity Surveying Technician Level 4
  • Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment

You will be enrolled on a Level 4 Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship, which you will complete over a 2 ½ year timeframe. Working from our head office in Essex and as part of your apprenticeship, you will spend weekly day release at Anglia Ruskin University (Chelmsford).

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
  • As part of your role as an apprentice quantity surveying technician, you will work in a hands-on role, learning our processes, facing challenges and driving results - all whilst learning and developing as an individual
  • Throughout your apprenticeship you'll work to a structured development programme, continuously growing with opportunities to showcase your contributions in delivering company objectives
  • Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you may choose to pursue a career in our quantity surveying team

Things to consider

Entry Requirements: Four GCSE qualifications (including both English and Maths) at Grade 4 (C) or above; Minimum 112 UCAS points (obtained through A Levels, BTEC or equivalent).
