Job Description:
Our People Operations team exists to ensure seamless operational support for our employees and to automate and improve upon existing processes by collaborating with the broader network of technical experts.
As an HR Apprentice, you will be a key role in our ambition to continue to disrupt the status quo, and drive change and efficiencies across the business. This is a hands-on, people-facing role working collaboratively within the People team.
The People team support approximately 600 employees across the DDB group which includes: Tribal Worldwide London, cain&abel, DDB Remedy and Europe.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to queries in the central People Ops inbox, ensuring all queries are responded to in a timely fashion
- Preparing all paperwork for employee changes (probations, promotions, contract amendments, salary increases etc)
- Ensuring we’re compliant by conducting regular right-to-work audits (i.e., visa expiry, right certification memo, etc.)
- Supporting the wider People team throughout the employee life cycle touch points
- Assisting with recruitment tasks such as screening CVs, setting up interviews etc
- Maintaining employee records and updating HR systems
- Reviewing and analysing reports in Excel
- Assisting with inputting payroll and sending out payslips and P45s
- Continuously grasp learning opportunities by supporting the Advisors and Partners with activities such as inductions, training coordination, project work and note taking etc.
Training Provided:
As a HR Support Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the HR Support Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, which is aligned with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Upon completion you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Certificate and you will be able to apply for Membership of CIPD.
The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.
Qualification Requirements:
5 GCSE's including English & Maths - Grade 4 or C and above.
Personal Qualities & Skills:
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Someone passionate about starting a career in HR
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to quickly build effective and trusting relationships at all levels.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment – comfortable being flexible, pragmatic and be able to re-prioritise tasks as often as required.
- Solid judgment and a hands-on, delivery mindset with a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Be a great team player with a strong work ethic
- The HR Apprentice is likely to have access to highly confidential information and is expected to operate with complete trustworthiness
