What will the apprentice be doing?

The Junior Paraplanner will be working closely with an experienced Wealth Manager and their team, handling the day-to-day paraplanning duties, meeting deadlines and ensuring the smooth running of their meetings by maintaining strong relationships with clients, driving engagement and positive outcomes.
As a junior Paraplanner, duties will include (but not be limited to):

Fortnightly workshops for each R0 exam

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 5/C or above) Essential
Other Minimum of 12 months financial services experience (Grade Pass) Essential
Other RQF Level 4 Qualified (Grade Pass) Essential
Things to consider
- A minimum of 12 months financial services experience - preferably in wealth management. - A genuine interest in financial markets/personal financial planning. - An interest in studying for the Diploma in financial services.

The Junior Paraplanner will be working closely with an experienced Wealth Manager and their team, handling the day-to-day paraplanning duties, meeting deadlines and ensuring the smooth running of their meetings by maintaining strong relationships with clients, driving engagement and positive outcomes.
As a junior Paraplanner, duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Work alongside the financial adviser to create and recommend financial plans to meet client needs
- Support the financial adviser with client reporting, communications and organisation
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with colleagues
- Prepare suitability reports, client recommendations and meeting packs
- Ensure relevant compliance procedures are followed at all times
- Complete technical research where required
- Maintain our core systems
- Identify new client objectives or opportunities
- Work towards client onboarding targets and maintain ongoing relationships
- Participate in internal meetings, giving feedback and highlighting challenges
- Enhance industry and company knowledge whilst maintaining a CPD record
- Undertake comparative research as part of existing arrangement review processes
- Ensuring that all compliance and regulatory standards are met and any breach reported to the Compliance Manager
- Working with and adhering to company and FCA policies and procedures; keeping up to date with legislation and maintain an understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines
- Developing and maintaining all paraplanning processes
- Undertaking appropriate professional development
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Fully and part funded learning and development programme that includes the Certificate in Financial Services
- Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful paraplanners
- Free CII membership for non-members through the CII Aspire Apprenticeship Programme for those who have not been a paid member before
- Includes study book and exam entry for each CII exam
The Certificate in Financial Services includes:
- R01 Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics
- CF1 can be delivered instead of R01, depending on circumstances
- R02 Investment Principles and Risk
- R03 Personal Taxation
- J09 Paraplanning
Fortnightly workshops for each R0 exam
- All workshops recorded and available on-demand
- Interactive chat, forums and class note books for real time support and assistance from experienced financial services professionals• Additional resources through RM Advance
- Regular tutorials and assessments from an experienced financial services professional
