As a Business Support Apprentice you will be part of an efficient and supportive team, working in a busy and sometimes demanding administrative environment. Focusing on providing efficient business administration support within the Quality and Continuing Healthcare Team.

The Office works at a fast-pace and must deliver multiple priorities and sometimes contentious issues at the same time and to tight timescales. It is therefore essential that the Apprentice is proactive, flexible and willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, a clear communicator and have an ability to maintain confidentiality.

No prior experience of working for the NHS or in business administration is required. Instead, the Apprentice will be supported through on-the-job training in their daily work, and through formal education sessions offered by Southampton City College.

Main duties of the job

The Apprentice will have a line-manager in the Office team who will be responsible for their personal and professional development, and ensure the Apprentice has the necessary work and opportunities to develop their skills to successfully achieve their apprenticeship. The Apprentice will also be supported by a Coach at Southampton City College, who will also ensure the post-holder is on-track and making the required progress.

If this opportunity appeals to you, and you would like to gain experience working within the Integrated Care Board whilst undertaking training and learning to achieve a Level 3 apprenticeship, we would be delighted to receive your application or discuss the role further.
