What will the apprentice be doing?
You'll be supported every step of the way, by your line manager and mentor. You'll work alongside our sales team, where you'll get the opportunity to develop your communication skills with many different stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to grow the number of existing customer accounts, generating new business by contacting possible customers. Furthermore, this apprenticeship programme will allow you to be a key player in building a relationship between Severn Trent and our consumers, whilst learning how to maximise positive customer experience.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Within our sales team you will complete the Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship standard, allowing you to develop the skills & experience required to become an expert within our sales team. You'll combine on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training. A Personal Development Plan will help drive your career progression, set, agreed & regularly reviewed with your line manager.

Things to consider
* You will need a full UK Driving licence, and if not, are you willing to ensure you have one within 12 months of beginning your apprenticeship, as the ability to drive is essential for this role.

- You will learn key skills of communication with clients, how to establish connections with different types of customers, and how to pre-plan propositions you will present to our consumers
- You will also learn how the market works and how to be flexible to meet demands or suggestions
- You'll learn to understand Severn Trent's vision, values and capabilities, the principal goals of our overall strategy, and the specific objectives of our marketing and sales strategies
- The principles of finance for sales, such as profit and loss, return on investment and budgeting. Appreciate the impacts of different types of costs on our business and the drivers of profitable performance
