About the apprenticeship

Duties

We are currently looking to recruit to our Equipment Engineering team, 3 Apprentices to start in September 2023. You will be earning, whilst studying for your Level 3 Apprenticeship.
We will equip you with all the specific technical knowledge and hands on experience that you'll need to take your first steps into an exciting and evolving career

Acquiring new skills through on-the-job training under the guidance of an internal mentor.
Rotation across different manufacturing areas to learn a wide variety of skills
Maintaining up to date logbooks and training notes
Working safely by observing and following all safety requirements and procedures
Working as part of a team and individually with full support from our engineering department/mentors
Learning how to work with and follow procedures / specifications
Attending college, studying, and passing all required modules
Satisfactorily complete relevant NVQ's with on-site training provider

Additional information

This role will be initially 39 hours per week role while training (4 days on site, 1 day in collage), but experience will also be gained while working on one of our shift patterns which cover our 24/7 operation.
Competitive basic salary, higher then basic apprentice rate.

Requirements

Skills

Minimum qualifications of 5 GCSE's grade A-C including Maths, English and a Science subject.
Further education in a science or engineering subject would be an advantage but not essential (A Level/BTEC/NVQ).
All applicants must be over 18 by September 2023.
It is essential that applicants can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, have good communication and interpersonal skills.
We will also look for self-motivated individuals with a logical approach to problem solving.
Flexibility of working hours is required.

Qualifications

A minimum of five GSCE's (Grade A-C) to include Maths, English Language and a science-related subject or equivalent.
