You will gain experience of delivering top quality first and second line support to the Alderley Group, working to agreed service levels and acting as an interface between the technology and the staff.  You will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the user community through excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the user community in all IT requirements, whilst meeting agreed services levels and delivering excellent customer service
  • Management of hardware and software – installing, preparing IT equipment for new staff members, fulfilling software/hardware upgrade/installation requests where required
  • Assisting support team with hands-on local support where required
  • Completing various technical business driven projects to agreed specification and deadlines as required
  • Updating other team members on project progress and presenting information for sharing and learning purposes at team meetings
  • Occasional out of hours and weekend availability to cover operational requirements

You will need the following skills:

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

37.5 hours per week, 09.00 - 17.00

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
