What will the apprentice be doing?
We are seeking to employ and train a new Degree level Apprentice. During your 4-6 years as a Zeiss Apprentice, you will gain comprehensive experience in various different departments such as:
You will use the experience gained alongside studying a Degree at West Suffolk College to cement your manufacturing knowledge to a high level. We will support and guide you along your journey and allowing you the exposure with tasks which is required to complete your Apprenticeship. This is fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for engineering and manufacturing.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
An Apprenticeship with Zeiss can lead to careers as varied as final test engineer, assembly technician, applications engineer, service engineer, quality engineer, design engineer and technical helpdesk engineer. We must be clear that there is no guarantee of a permanent role at the end of your apprenticeship.

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 5-9) Essential
AS Level or equivalent 2 STEM subjects (Grade C+) Essential
Things to consider
Training will take place at WSC in Bury St Edmunds. The role will be varied and will cover a lot of different working environments. All applicants will be subject to Aviation Security training as well as a basic DBS check. We also offer Private Medical, Medical Cash plan, 25 days holiday (plus BH's), Christmas Shut down.
