- A great opportunity for an ambitious apprentice to take the first steps to becoming a chartered surveyor. We are looking for a proactive and energetic individual to work with us, you will be a good communicator with a keen eye for detail.
- We work with a really wide range of great clients including institutional and private landowners; mineral and waste operators - multi nationals and local operators; public and statutory bodies and a range of other professionals within finance, legal and accounting sectors.
- Our work type involves us getting to know about the clients operational businesses, which helps us to understand how and why they occupy their property assets and the integral nature of the assets to their business. We work exclusively in the minerals and waste management sectors.
- The sites we visit are spread far and wide in some spectacular locations throughout the UK so it will be necessary to travel regularly to visit clients and their landholdings.
- Day to day work within the team includes: Minerals estate management, incorporating; agreeing and documenting terms for new leases, negotiating rent and royalty reviews. Acquisition and disposal advice.
- Identifying new mineral and waste opportunities, promoting sits through the local plan system. Agreeing terms for lease or sale of assets. Valuation, professional consultancy and expert witness
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- 5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled in year 4 of the undergraduate degree) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification. The degree course is structured as two full weeks University based training per trimester
- On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained
