With over 270 destinations across the globe, our businesses not only bring people together but also support the prosperity of the regions in which we operate.

The role:

We are looking to develop an IT Project Management Apprentice to join our Technology Project Delivery team at MAG. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management and to develop the skills necessary to become a Project Manager. This opportunity aims to provide hands-on experience and training in project management methodologies and tools, as well as exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of a project manager. Our goal is to develop the skills and knowledge needed for you to progress into a full-time project management role.

Your Learning:
On completion of the apprenticeship, you will be awarded with a Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship (BSc (Hons) Project Management). Below are some of the things you can expect from this apprenticeship opportunity:

  • Supporting the project manager in project planning and execution.
  • Assisting in project coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Participating in project meetings and contributing to decision-making.
  • Conducting research and gathering information to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Developing and maintaining project documents, such as project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Assisting in risk management activities, such as identification, analysis, and mitigation.
  • Communicating with stakeholders and team members to ensure smooth project delivery

What are we looking for?
For a Project Management Apprentice, being organized is key. You should be able to handle multiple tasks at once and make sure everything gets done on time. You also need to be detail-oriented, able to keep track of project information and report it accurately. Good communication is a must. You should be able to speak and write well, and make sure everyone involved in the project understands what's going on. You should also be a problem solver, who is able to interpret information and come up with solutions. Being proactive and taking ownership of your tasks is important. You should be eager to learn and contribute to projects. Being open to learning and growing is also a must.

For this role, you should have at least 8 GCSEs and 3 A-levels, with at least one of them being in a STEM subject if possible.

What benefits can we offer?
Great benefits as you would expect from a business the size of MAG – in the shape of a competitive salary and benefits package including 6% company contribution pension, 24 days holidays plus bank holidays, free parking, subsidised public transport, and a huge range of company discounts. You’ll have plenty opportunities for career progression, experience on-the-job training and development and work in a supportive and friendly environment.
