Salary - Minimum starting hourly rate of £9.18 - £10.18 after April - Rising each year​ *plus Veolia benefits

Hours - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location - Based at Amenity Way, Morden, SM4 4AX (There may be a requirement to travel to our Wembley site to share knowledge and learn new skills)

Apprenticeship programme

During this Level 3 HGV Maintenance programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career. Throughout the 36 - month programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working, problem-solving and customer focus. Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it.

As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you’ll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as a Level 3 Certificate in HGV Maintenance, Level 3 NVQ (Competency) in Maintenance & Working Safely (H&S) Certificate.

 

You will also attend our Fleet Academy in Bristol whilst undertaking this apprenticeship programme on a block basis.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Carrying out inspections and maintenance on a variety of HGV vehicles, mainly on refuse collection vehicles to DVSA standards 
  • Servicing vehicles as per OEM recommendations
  • Carrying out diagnostics on a variety of systems to correctly diagnose faults before repair
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and complies legally

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths & English
  • Full UK driving licence (Desirable)
  • Good problem-solving skills
