Introducing the Bloomberg News team

Bloomberg News is one of the world’s leading financial news organizations, producing roughly 5,000 stories a day and earning more than 800 awards since it was founded in 1990 – including the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for explanatory reporting. Bloomberg News is read by more than 325,000 Terminal subscribers, who are among the most influential people in business and finance in the world. If it affects markets, Bloomberg News will be there. We lead the way in breaking news on companies, economies, commodities and government policies to help our ever-expanding audience stay ahead of the markets.

As a Bloomberg News Apprentice you will develop a deep understanding of the News and Media department. You will leverage key learnings from the Journalism apprenticeship to your everyday role as you gain hands-on experience reporting for one of the world's leading financial news services. During the programme, you will produce breaking news stories under deadline for our coverage of markets, companies, economies, and governments. Responsibilities will include pitching and writing enterprise stories, conducting exclusive interviews, and collaborating with our other media platforms. Administrative tasks which are critical in ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained will also be a part of the role.

Your line manager, buddy and recruiter will provide regular feedback on your work and help you navigate the company and career opportunities here. You’ll also get to meet peers and Bloomberg leaders from across departments through lunch and learn sessions, social and networking events, and volunteering activities.
