Overview: 

We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as a Business Analyst apprentice.

Analyses defines the business requirements and functional or operational architecture for simple or moderately complex projects. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives by thoroughly understanding business processes.

Salary:

£22,000 per annum.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Using documented processes, collects and defines requirements, translates into functional design documents and develops project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for a given project. [30%]
  • Participates in development of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation. [20%]
  • Gathers and analyses information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group. [20%]
  • Applies experiences with existing software and/or systems development processes to develop better processes to be used in the future. Actively influences software development process improvement initiatives. [10%]
  • Provides advice to internal business groups and business analysts on process improvement projects by analysing business process flows and identifying changes. [20%]

 Job scope:

  • Contributes to the achievement of team objectives
  • Contributes / supports to prioritise the user stories to ensure the business objectives and MVP are met
  • Contributes to various ceremonies for the Iteration
  • Define User stories and Acceptance criteria for an Epic liaising with Stakeholders, programme BA and POD team
  • Present user stories & acceptance criteria to the stakeholders and attain sign offs

What we are looking for:

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification + at least 12 months of work experience* + robust onboarding plan (learner must work in the organisation for 3 months before signing up)
  • OR business-related degree eg business, finance, economics, maths, etc.
  • OR non-business-related degree + at least 6 months of work experience*
  • OR existing staff member with 2+ years of work experience**

*Work experience relates to any valid work experience

**Existing staff work experience should not be in a business analyst role

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects:

Subject to performance during the apprenticeship and internal requirements, there is the potential to gain a full time role at the end of 17-month apprenticeship.
