ECTA Training in Stockport has several clients looking for Apprentice Gas Engineers throughout the Manchester/Cheshire areas.
The Apprenticeship lasts for 18 months, and on successful completion you will be a fully qualified Domestic or Commercial Gas Engineer.
The types of work a Gas engineer does varies depending on the exact qualifications they hold and the type of works undertaken by the company they work for, but it could include:
* Installation, servicing and maintenance of Central Heating Boilers and Central Heating Systems
* Installation, servicing and maintenance of Gas Fires
* Installation, servicing and maintenance of Cookers
* Installation, servicing and maintenance of Commercial Heating Appliances
* Pipework Installation
There is a major skills shortage in this industry, making it an ideal time to get qualified.
Our clients are looking for dedicated, ambitious and hard-working candidates who are really keen to learn, and will make the most of this amazing opportunity.
Salaries for qualified engineers can range between GBP22k - GBP35k per annum
Desired skills
* Excellent communication
* Time management and the ability to work to deadlines
* Willingness to develop and learn new skills
Personal skills
* Reliable
* Be able to work as a team as well as an individual
Preferred but not essential
* Full UK driving licence
* Maths & English GCSE grade C/4 or above
You must be able to travel to ECTA Training in Stockport for your training on a regular basis.
