What will the apprentice be doing?
Within our Digital team is a chance to develop into a full-fledged Geospatial data analyst at the forefront of project delivery for Arup.
Working with so many disciplines you will always be learning something new.
One day you might be analysing the number of newts in a study area, whilst next day you could be modelling accident statistics.
You will be using data to identify trends, values in qualitative and quantitative analysis to answer key decision-making questions for projects/business.
You will also present data in visualisations to help understand the impact on the natural and built environment.
For many of our projects we have a large amount of data to manage and maintain, which needs to be presented in user-friendly formats for non-data minded readers. There will be projects and opportunities to put into practice the theory you learn whilst undertaking the course, bringing your learning (and data) to life.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As part of your apprenticeship, you'll study towards the Level 4 Data Analyst qualification.
You'll study at a local partner college on day release and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
When joining us as one of our apprentices, you'll enjoy the opportunity to study for a paid, professionally recognised qualification in a discipline that will help you further your career.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll have access to our online network. You'll also take internal courses. These cover technical aspects of the business, such as software, but also vital 'soft' skills such as report writing and working effectively.
