The job holder is responsible for designing schematics for complex Audio-Visual systems.
The Job holder shall be capable of manage simple and/or routine designs without supervision.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce high quality design of complex Audio-Visual systems as instructed by senior members of the team in CAD
- Surveying rooms and AV systems with the objective of categorising their suitability for teaching
- You will be evaluating Acoustics, lighting, and technology of the spaces
- Assist senior staff with witness testing and handover of installations
- As a member of the research and development solutions team, dealing with new technologies and complex new systems is likely; as such, good analytical and logical thinking are a must
Other tasks include:
- Optimisation of live audio-visual services and systems, e.g. DSP functional design, Control Systems interfaces (Crestron), application control
- Contribute and support to the development and maintenance of the AV Standard

- Audiovisual Technician Level 5 Apprenticeship Standard
- On and off the job training
- Day release at College/Training Provider
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Depending on the circumstances of the business upon completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be a potential position of employment available
