Job Details
Assessment Centres: Either 31/05 or 01/06 in the Broughton area. Successful applicants need to be available to attend an assessment centre.
Apprentice Level & Course:
- Level 2 Foundation leading to NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
- Technical Certificate (National Diploma Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering)
Duration: Permanent role.
Location: 1st year full-time at a local College - Coleg Cambria & Broughton site in 2nd & 3rd years.
Travel: To a local college and Broughton site. Possibly some travel for early careers events and other business activity.
Summary of role:
Craft Apprenticeships are focused on Aeronautical Engineering for both the academic and practical elements.
It is a three-year programme, with the first year spent at one of our partner colleges, and the second and third years on-site at Broughton.
Apprenticeship Study Plan:
The first year covers Level 2 Foundation, including:
- Engineering Operations
- Technical courses
- Advanced maths for engineers
- Essential Skills Level 2
- Functional Skills Level 2
The second and third years cover Level 3 Advanced. This builds on the Level 2 Foundation and leads to:
- NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma (Aeronautical Engineering)
- Technical Certificate (National Diploma Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering)
- Wider Key Skills/Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
Candidate Requirements:
Essential
- 5 Higher grade GCSEs (C or above) to include Maths, English Language and Science (Double Award) at grade B .
- If GCSE Science has been taken as single subjects, one of the qualifications must be in Physics.
- Successful candidates must be willing to complete background checks and an SC Security Clearance application for this role.
Desirable:
- Engineering Diploma, Principle Learning, PEO Level 2 or Pathways to apprenticeship.
