What will the apprentice be doing?

Initial day to day tasks:
  • Learning the basic approach to programming
  • Learning the Swift programming language
  • Learning how to debug software
  • Learning how to leverage various technologies within the Apple Ecosphere
  • Learning the differences between various modern software architectures
  • Learning various concepts considered to be current industry best practices
  • Learning how to use industry standard productivity and communication tools
  • Practicing these core skills on internal projects

Advancing towards:
  • Fixing bugs in clients' apps
  • Updating documentation for clients' apps
  • Building new features for clients' apps

4 days office based in Ludgershall - no remote working available during training period.

1 day apprenticeship course work - location will include a combination of remote, office-based, and Yeovil College based - travel costs will be covered by Salisbury Apps.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship.

1 day a week required at Yeovil College, 80% in workplace.
