What will the apprentice be doing?
Reporting to your manager, your typical roles will include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will be enrolled on the L4 Professional Accounting Technician (AAT) apprenticeship standard, which includes 6 AAT exams, in addition to the Synoptic Assessment.
The knowledge units will be delivered by a qualified Trainer at the EMA training hub in Derby through weekly day release.
You will also be allocated a Coach/Mentor to support you with work-based projects and compiling a portfolio of work to demonstrate your competence as part of the EPA process.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We are looking for a long term member of staff, we do provide lots of hands on practical experience to help with AAT exams, main aim for us is to let the staff member grow within a growing firm of accountants (as we are constantly signing up new clients). If we can see that the apprentice shows a speciality in a certain area and they enjoy it we would help grow that side of the business.

- Year end accounts analysis
- Basic bookkeeping
- Sending documents to clients for approval
- Sending reminders to chase in records
