What will the apprentice be doing?
Typically, Structures leads on the large scale multi-disciplinary projects due to the broad set of skills that are needed in the group. As part of Buro Happold's Structures team, you will have the opportunity during your apprenticeship to develop your knowledge and skills to:
· Creating Revit models of our design projects, managing the data through to drawing/detail production from Engineers sketches
· Take responsibility for the model, drawing issues and daily housekeeping in terms of managing our deliverables
· Responsible for ensuring delivery of production work to agreed project programmes.
· Able to develop concept ideas into buildable drawing details.
· Making sure that model and drawing production follows company standards.
· Develop your career via a supportive but proactive approach to continued learning.
We are proud to be working on Canning Town Regeneration Project and would particularly encourage candidates whom currently live in Newham.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Apprenticeship in HNC in Civil Engineering which includes the completion of a HNC and the achievement of an EngTech via ICE
You will attend University on a day release basis, working 4 days per week (term time only).
You will undertake learning within the workplace to demonstrate the achievement of the KSB's to successfully complete the End Point Assessment (EPA).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We would expect candidates to become an integral member of the team with future prospects to continue with education to become Chartered Engineers with the Institution of Civil or Structural Engineers.
