What will the apprentice be doing?
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will complete a Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor apprenticeship. This will include completing an HNC (Higher National Certificate) at Leicester College on a block week, one every month. Accommodation and expenses will be paid.
You will be expected to attend work 5 days a week when you are not on a block.
You must complete all required elements of the apprenticeship including recording 20% off the job training hours.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
During and at the end of the level 4 apprenticeship your salary and job title will be reviewed, and you will be promoted as appropriate. There may also be an opportunity to continue on to a degree apprenticeship in a relevant subject.
You may wish to continue in a construction management role or pursue one of the many other roles within the company, such as sustainability, design, health, and safety, planning or commercial.

Things to consider
You will be working on a live construction site, and must adhere to safety requirements. You will work outside and also in the site offices. You will be required to attend training courses such as health and safety or technical training.
- To complete a programme of training to be conducted within a region, at both site and office locations
- Proactively undertake rotation training periods in each department or construction discipline
- To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of Company systems and also survey instruments
- Develop proficiency in the use of proprietary software packages
- Develop an understanding of the Construction Management processes and assist in appropriate activities as directed
- Carry out tasks and duties as directed by your appointed line manager
- Keep the Academy informed of current College progress and request any academic support at the appropriate time
