What will the apprentice be doing?
As a Software Developer Apprentice, you will:
You will need to have strong communication skills as you will be liaising and sharing your work with colleagues across the College.
You will also need an eye for detail as you will be working with a lot of data and information that requires accuracy.
You will develop skills in organisation, prioritisation, data and problem-solving techniques, teamwork, communication, presentation skills and document writing.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Software Developer - Level 4.
Off the job training will take place at Oldham College one day a week.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full time employment.

As a Software Developer Apprentice, you will:
- Learn to create logical and maintainable code
- Provide technical support to colleagues across the College
- You will develop effective user interfaces and look to conduct a range of test types, such as Integration, System, User Acceptance, Non-Functional, Performance and Security testing
