Level 2 Sports Coaching Apprentice

A fantastic opportunity for a school leaver or dedicated person who has a keen interest in delivering sport within primary education settings. It may also lead to contributing extra sporting opportunities to children across the Cheshire East area.

A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and delivering their own high quality PE lessons, delivering CPD and PPA cover in line with the national curriculum for primary schools.

Extra roles and responsibilities would include Lunch time clubs, After School clubs and Wrap around care. As well as working alongside our Pools2Schools programme.

New starters will gain support from our company structure to plan and deliver there PE, this would range from our Head of Coaching giving you extra coaching support to the Operations Manager assisting in school procedures and protocols. As well as support through our education provider Sportscape education through tutors and the head of education.

Main roles and responsibilities

- Planning, organising and delivering high quality sessions across all aspects that we offer.

- Working successfully as part of a team to overcome problems.

- Responsible for administrative duties that comes with the job.

Candidates must have

- A genuine interest in delivering sports

- A passion for developing and progressing young learners

- An ability to work alone or with others

Ideal but not required

- Experience of working in school settings

- A valid DBS. (DBS for sports coaching can be done following employment)

- First aid and safeguard qualified

- Driving license or an ability to travel.

- Grade C or 4 in maths and english.

About us

Sports coaching north west was born in July 2011, since its birth we have gradually grown both in terms of number of staff and number of schools we work with. Sports coaching north west acquired Sportscape LTD in the beginning of 2020, combining to create sports coaching group. Making it one of the biggest sports coaching providers in Cheshire.

During term time we coach Physical Education in over 50 primary schools around Cheshire and Staffordshire, each school we work in is different and we pride ourselves in creating a bespoke service for each one, whether that be offering Change4life clubs, Sports Days, PPA cover, CPD lessons, breakfast, lunch or after school clubs.

During school holidays our Multi-sports and Sport specific holiday clubs have been very popular since August 2011. We pride ourselves on offering children new experiences and opportunities within sports away from school time.

Salary: £5.28-£10.00 per hour
