Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship - WSP Highways Team, Guildford

What will the apprentice be doing?

As a civil engineering degree apprentice in our Highways team, you will support the team to deal with a range of different projects across the globe working with funding agencies, national and local governments, highways authorities and private organisations. You will work on projects from initial concept through to construction and operation. You will use industry leading computer software and BIM modelling applications while working on a variety of highway specific disciplines.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will attend London South Bank University to study a Civil Engineering degree apprenticeship and gain a BEng, as well as your Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development programme to support you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviour that will help you successfully achieve your apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As this is a permanent position, after gaining your degree, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to work towards gaining Chartered status with your chosen institution, as well as the opportunity to pursue your further study and training goals.
