Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent 5 GCSEs including English, Maths, Science (Grade min Level 5 and Maths Grade 6) Essential
A Level or equivalent Maths, Science or an engineering related (Grade BBC or above) Desired
BTEC or equivalent L3 to include Maths, Engineering or related (Grade DDM or above) Desired
- You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering design services for a range of clients.
- You will contribute to a variety of projects, that could involve highways, rail, drainage, and buildings.
- You will assist in the development of designs, the preparation of engineering calculations, the production of drawings, and the preparation of reports through different phases of design.
- You will have the opportunity to visit construction sites and see the projects you're working on come to life.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- You will attend London South Bank University (LSBU) to study a Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship and gain a bachelors qualification, as well as completing your End Point Assessment (and your Incorporated Engineer status) with the Institute of Civil Engineers.
- Your attendance at LSBU will be one day a week, four days a week at work.
- You will also be provided with internal training, which will help you attain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully achieve your apprenticeship, and support your career in Civil Engineering.
- You will be trained in the use of software engineering tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or InfoDrainage among others.
