What will the apprentice be doing?
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Year 1 - Training will be block release completed at Sheffield university the first 25 weeks for 5 days a week after this it will be day release with 1 day a week at Sheffield university and 4 days at myenergi.
The apprentice would complete a HND or Foundation Degree which would provide the foundation stage of the knowledge elements in the competence qualification.
For the Development Phase the apprentice will build on their Foundation knowledge by completing a BEng (Hons) in Engineering.
Completing the apprenticeship with a BEng in Manufacturing technology.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Degree level engineer with experience could take you to progress into successful career or further education.

- Produce electronic solutions to a variety of engineering needs/problems.
- Use electronic CAD design packages to aid the development of solutions.
- Use simulation software to identify basic circuit functionality.
- Participate in peer reviews to improve designs.
- Ensure that designs can be implemented successfully in manufacturing.
- Control design change through use of revision control and engineering management systems.
- Management of personal responsibilities alongside PM of wider objectives.
