What will the apprentice be doing?
Within our Bridges team we develop the strategies and designs for the bridge infrastructure needed to support the built environment. This includes pedestrian, cycle and vehicle bridges of different scales and in different countries. The team often works with leading architects to design bridges that not only are fit for purpose but also the look and feel that the users can be proud of. As part of Buro Happold's Bridge Engineering team you will develop your knowledge and skills to be able too:
· Complete detailed analysis and bridge design
· Analyse erection techniques
· Assess strength and propose rehabilitation of existing structures
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
One day per week at LSBU based in Elephant and Castle.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We would expect candidates to become an integral member of the team with future prospects to continue with education to become Chartered Engineers with the Institution of Civil or Structural Engineers.

BTEC or equivalent Civil Engineering (Grade MPP) Essential
