What will the apprentice be doing?
Our Paignton based office is close to the Devonshire Retail Park and shares excellent travel links with South Devon College. Flexible working arrangements are available and include flexitime and hybrid options.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training to be provided by South Devon College, one day per week during term time to cover knowledge modules as part of the Software Developer apprenticeship standard Level 4. To include:
User interface,
Logic data,
Problem solving,
Design analysis,
Problem solving,
Testing.
You will have an assigned assessor coach who will support you throughout your apprenticeship and regularly meet with you and your manager to review your progress. You will need to have achieved your Functional Skills Level 2 (equivalent to a C/4 at GCSE) in Maths and English if you have not already done so, to complete your apprenticeship. You can do this alongside your apprenticeship.
From an employer perspective; to ensure our team is developing both professionally and technically, we provide training opportunities and support, including the option for 10% time to focus on technical upskilling (e.g., online training of your choice, personal side projects).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Permanent role as a software developer, with the ability to continue to upskill and promote within the business

- We're looking for an eager and creative web-focused .Net apprentice software developer to join our team based in Paignton, Devon.
- Candidates should have experience assisting with desktop or web application development, database design, and UI wireframing.
- Designs, creates, and maintains business applications for a wide variety of sectors around the UK
- Provides consultation to clients on how to best automate existing processes or realise new products
- Maintains long term customer relationships, providing ongoing support and continuous improvement for the products that have been produced
- Developing and testing robust and efficient software
- Documenting code and technical decisions
- Supporting released software and effectively communicating fixes or updated feature
