Qualifications
A Level or equivalent Maths or IT (Grade A-C) Essential
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify quality requirements.
- Monitor debugging process results. Investigate the causes of non-conforming software
Working hours:-
Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:30.
Desired Skills:-
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Proven work experience in software development and/or software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Knowledge with white box and black box testing.
- Knowledge with automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development process.
- Experience with the .NET framework.
- Knowledge of performance and/or security testing. Knowledge of unit testing
Desired Personal Qualities:-
- Good team player, but also ability to work on own initiative.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
Required Qualifications:-
- 4 A Levels (3Cs 1B, at least 1 Math or Computing)

The successful applicant will complete and obtain a Software Testing Level 4 Qualification through Learning Curve Group.
You will be taught through:
- 4-6 weekly 1-2-1 sessions with your tutor
- 6 hours per week to complete the apprenticeship
- The course is a 18 month programme
