About the apprenticeship

Duties

Duties will include learning how to safely perform maintenance, replacement and servicing on all manner of light vehicle components. Other duties will be allocated as appropriate including general housekeeping. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:

VCQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competence (7270 series)
VRQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles (7290 series)
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy

Additional information

Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Port Talbot and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week. You will be employed full-time as an apprentice by this company based in Port Talbot. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance.

Prior experience as a hobby or formal studying is an advantage
Able to work as part of a team
Must be prepared to travel once a week to Pyle for off-the-job training as a mandatory requirement of the apprenticeship
Must be able to follow instructions
GCSE achievement is an advantage
