You'll begin a comprehensive development programme designed to kick start your successful career in HR.  A combination of practical, on the job experience and theory will combine to give you an overview of best professional practise, resourcing and talent planning, performance management and employment law.

As an apprentice, your 30-month development programme will be made up of up to five placement rotations. Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience you need for your successful career. We also understand that everyone’s career is different, so every apprentice’s journey is unique. Here’s an idea of what yours could look like:

 

HR Services

Your first placement will be in our HR Services team, providing the first line response to business queries, gaining an in-depth knowledge of our policies and how things work at TfL.

HR Strategy

You will get the chance to complete two placements in our Subject Matter Expert teams, providing you with the opportunity to specialise in a more technical areas of HR, which can include, Talent, Reward, Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion, Skills & Employment, Learning & Development, Organisational Change and Employee Relations

 

HR Business Partner

Your final placement will be in the HR Business Partnering team, supporting a range of initiatives including talent and resourcing, change programmes and organisational structure and design.
