Job Description:

 

At M&G our focus is on ensuring positive customer outcomes (financial and customer experience) and keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do. As such we have a responsibility to ensure this ethos flows through all our direct customer touchpoints. This is now more important than ever given the introduction of the Consumer Duty directive from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in 2023.

The Marketing Team sits within our Retail and Savings function. UK Marketing Team focuses on the development of the customer and adviser websites (non-advised), customer journeys, oversight of our customer literature suite, and provide assistance and communications to support project or business changes impacting end customers.

Your daily activities may include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Assisting the Marketing Managers who are responsible for the production and maintenance of core marketing collateral across various formats, ensuring the consistency of materials within the overall brand guidelines
  • Supporting other internal marketing projects
  • Supporting the delivery of the UK Channel marketing plan in line with the overall strategy and objectives of the business
  • Delivering reporting against performance indicators and budget on a regular basis to monitor effectiveness
  • Creating new market communication tools with a focus on digital assets including brochures, infographics, video, podcasts and social
  • Collaborating and working together with other UK Marketing colleagues, central marketing teams and key stakeholders across the business develop and deliver the material and campaigns
  • Attending meetings and documenting minutes and actions
  • Ensuring that all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements

 

Training Provided:

 As a Business Admin Apprentice with BPP, you will undertake the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses

 

Qualification Requirements:

 As a minimum, candidate will have either 5 National 5s or 2 Highers with good grades in Maths and English (A-C). Alternatively, you will have 2 years of work experience in financial services industry

 

Personal Qualities & Skills:

 

  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to deal with clients and provide strong customer service.
  • Efficient and proactive. Ability to manage processes and coordinating with different people often within tight deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Structured approach to work and very well organised. Strong time management skills (working with checklists & time blocking tools).
  • Ability to prioritise to effectively manage day to day work, alongside apprenticeship qualification.
  • Moderate understanding of the MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A proactive team player who is confident about working with others but also independently and can promptly escalate any issue and work remotely where required.
  • Logical and analytical approach coupled with intelligence, passion and a drive to learn.
  • Ability to formulate own opinions by thinking analytically about problems, thinking “outside the box” to resolve issues where required.
  • Empathy and good listening skills.

The successful applicant will have strong desire to learn and a genuine interest in business or marketing or the financial services industry.

Applicants who succeed with us are self-motivated, capable of building and maintaining relationships and work effectively as part of a team.

The applicant would ideally have an inquisitive nature and be curious.

 Future Prospects:

This is a fixed term contract for 14 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
