What will the apprentice be doing?
At Resolve Accountancy we are looking for a candidate that can assist with all accountancy and tax work required within a busy tax practice. Your duties as a tax and accounts assistant will primarily include:
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 4 Professional accounting or taxation technician standard.
The instructor led, weekly, classroom training will take you through all of the AAT Level 4 curriculum. You will be provided with books and online tools to allow further training. A full training schedule is provided upon a confirmed start date; however training is typical 1 day per week.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There is the opportunity to progress to a more senior level with the firm and a career within accountancy.

- Bookkeeping for clients on QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage
Preparation and submission of VAT returns - Preparation and submission of monthly CIS returns
- Communicating with clients, queries / confirming HMRC liabilities
- Inputting data in preparation for senior accountant to prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax return for limited companies
- Inputting data in preparation for senior accountant to prepare sole trader and partnership accounts
- Inputting data in preparation for senior accountant to prepare personal self-assessment tax returns
