About the apprenticeship
Duties
You'll be part of an Agile product development team. The team consists of product owners, software engineers and testers that live and breathe product development, delivery and support. The team will be responsible for developing new solutions as well as maintaining one or more of the established solutions that support thousands of service line users within the business, such as Tax and Audit.
The team work on a prioritised backlog of requirements, analyse and collaborate on software changes in order to break them down into manageable pieces for development and delivery. The team typically decide on the technical solution to business requirements aligning to company standards, where your input, suggestions and feedback are always welcome.
As a software engineer, you'll be working with the team to understand requirements and develop solutions, participate in team ceremonies, writing code in languages such as .Net and SQL, exploring solutions to technical challenges, developing for cloud platforms such as Azure and troubleshooting.

To complete this apprenticeship, you will need to be based in Wales at least 51% of your working week and travel a minimum of 1 day a week to Cardiff & The Vale College.
