What will the apprentice be doing?

Our apprenticeship programme is well established and is designed to give you maximum exposure to different experiences. You'll get to share your thinking, test your ideas, and start focusing on the work you enjoy most whilst supporting the technical aspects of multidisciplinary design projects.

You'll be making a sustainable difference in people's lives, shaping cities, reimagining transport and transforming nuclear energy. And with the choice to work across Cities & Development, Nuclear & Power, Transportation, Water or Environment, you'll decide where you want your career to go.

Here's what your role as an apprentice would involve

• Developing your skills in a wide range of exciting projects
• Learning about project lifecycles which in turn will allow you to support your team
• Learning and using relevant design software
• Being involved in client meetings and assisting in building key client relationships
• You'll get to understand and learn digital skills to help us harness technology in new ways

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Project Manager (integrated degree) Apprenticeship Standard:

• Our apprenticeship programme has been designed to give you an insight into the huge variety and the chance to explore where your own skills and interests lie. Through a combination of on-the-job learning and practical skills development within your chosen role, you'll work on real projects from day one that offer scale and variety collaborating with others and creating meaningful impact on the world around us. You'll work towards your professional qualification; whichever path you take, your future starts here
• Recognising you are busy working professionals, this Degree Apprenticeship will be delivered in flexible delivery modes. This will include a mix of taught workshop sessions in block mode supported by blended learning activities, which can be completed at home, or in the workplace
• As a work based programme, this Degree Apprenticeship will adopt applied assessment which will enable you to relate the learning gained directly to your current role or a role in which you aspire to work. These assessments are designed to provide demonstrable impact of your learning to your organisation, current projects or individual performance
• Alongside developing your capabilities in the areas of the Project Management discipline, the programme will also develop you as a thorough professional and as such throughout the programme you will engage in a range of modules designed to develop your competences in areas such as Programme Portfolio & Project Management, Project Planning & Management, Project Change Control & Quality Management, Governance and Financial Control of Projects, Business Strategy for Project Professionals and Procurement and Contract Management
• On successful completion, apprentices are eligible to become full members of Association for Project Management (APM), the Chartered Body for the Project Profession

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
