Funding and support to help you achieve a Chartered Surveyor Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship by attending London South Bank Universtiy on a day release basis.
Apprentices will be required to complete a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc/BSc(Honours) or (where the apprentice already holds a Level 6 degree and subject to an assessment of prior learning) an RICS accredited Post Graduate Diploma or MSc that states it is linked to this apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Funding and support to help you achieve a Level 6 qualification in Quantity Surveying. You will be a part of a community of 100+ apprentices as well as wider Skanska employees. We want you to do well and will support you to have a meaningful career beyond the apprenticeship.

Things to consider
Most of our construction projects are in central London, however, due to the nature of construction, our work can move to various locations over time. You will mainly be based in one of our offices, and you will be visiting construction sites as part of your role.
Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and construction professionals, you will be learning to manage the commercial success of a project. No two days are the same. You will be
- Supporting project delivery by managing subcontractors and adhering to the time-lines of the project
- Assisting with the procurement of sub-contract packages and building strong and lasting relationships with the sub-contractor based on good communication and trust
- Working within the project's commercial team, measuring levels of works done
- Liaising with site team to assess completion of works and clear for payment
- Completing site measurements and records, day work sheets, labour and plant returns
- Preparing contract documents including preparing scopes and sub-contract warranties
- Working with numerical data in multiple software programmes to record payment applications and payment certificates
