What will the apprentice be doing?
  • Joining Moore Kingston Smith on our ATT/CTA graduate programme means you will receive fantastic training that allows you to experience working in a growing tax team acting for a variety of clients across a wide range of sectors. You will sit within our private client tax or employment tax team, which provide a range of services to both clients of the wider firm and tax clients only
  • Right from the start of your training contract you will be working with clients, getting to know their affairs and understanding their challenges. You will be encouraged to take responsibility early on in your training contract and you will be exposed to all aspects of a job
  • In this role, you will predominantly support senior colleagues with the annual tax compliance cycle to include the preparation and submission of tax returns, liaising with clients, and dealing with HMRC queries. As you progress in your role, you can expect to be given more responsibility and the opportunity to assist on bespoke tax advisory projects. You will be given support and guidance in all tasks that you are asked to undertake and gain exposure across the wider business and learning about the different ways in which we support and engage with our clients

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
  • As well as learning on the job, you'll complete a comprehensive apprenticeship training programme that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to excel in the role
  • Successful candidates will be supported throughout their professional studies towards the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification and achieving Chartered Taxation Advisor (CTA) status, which will give you the skills and knowledge required to deliver the service our clients expect from us
