BTEC or equivalent Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship (Grade Level 3) Desired
Things to consider
A design engineer will be mainly office based and working on design drawings using packages, that will be taught, in Revit, Tedds, BIM and Tekla Structural Designer.
- You will have the opportunity to work as part of the wider interdisciplinary team which includes: Architects, Building Services, Design Management, Interior Design, Landscape and urbanism.
- The successful applicants will work as part of our design team, our current projects cover a wide range of building types such as offices, schools, hospitals and laboratories buildings and historic buildings.
- Alongside your training at university you will be taught how to use computer modelling packages such as Revit, Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer.
- Attend meetings both in the studio and on site.
- Partake in internal and external training sessions and go out to visit construction sites.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Qualification you will achieve is: BEng Degree and also IEng (Incorporated Engineer) with the Institute of Civil Engineering.
- You will attend: Univerity of Salford.
- Training type: One day a week, remaining four days in the studio.
- You will be based at: BDPs Manchester Studio, Piccadilly Basin, M1 2JB.
