Weekday classroom courses (block release) at First Intuition Chelmsford working towards the AAT Level 4 qualification as part of the professional accounting or taxation technician apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You will be given the opportunity to continue your studies further after your AAT qualification.

Things to consider
The training will take place at First Intuition in Chelmsford therefore please ensure travel to and from both college and the workplace is considered when applying. Ascott Blake are also keen to find someone who is going to be committed to their studies and wants to pursue a career as an accountant.
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into XERO
- Uploading receipts and invoices into DEXT
- Following company internal processes
- Communicating with HMRC with various tax issues. i.e., time to pay
- Communicating with clients on a daily basis
- Answering phone calls
- Managing busy inbox and delegating to relevant client managers
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
Completing VAT returns - Recording any inconsistencies to help the Client Managers reconcile inaccuracies
- Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Preparing and processing payrolls
- Credit control for some clients
- Helping the Client Manager's with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
- Ad hoc duties required by senior stakeholders
