Things to consider
You may undertake the Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician standard as an alternative qualification to the Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship, dependent upon which area of the business you will be working in.

- You will learn how to enter accounting transactions, perform a reconciliation, correct errors and produce a range of reports using a computerised accounting system.
- You will learn the basic elements of double entry bookkeeping and understand what is required to draft final accounts.
- You will gain an understanding of basic tax principles in order to apply current regulations to calculate VAT and submit a VAT return.
- You will have responsibility for creating and/or verifying and reviewing accurate and timely financial information to meet relevant ethical, professional, and legal standards.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- You can expect to attain the Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- At the end of your programme, if you have successfully completed your apprenticeship and achieved the performance targets the we have set for you, you are guaranteed a permanent role with us.
- Future career aspirations could be Assistant Financial Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, Business Tax Assistant, Senior Financial Officer to name a few.
