Are you seeking an opportunity to kickstart your Finance career? Are you excited by the chance to work with and learn from an organisation that has a critical role in making Greater Manchester a better place? We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual with excellent communication skills to join our Finance team here at TFGM.
As a Management Accountant Apprentice, you will gain vital finance skills by working with experienced financial professionals, with a chance to complete several placements across the Finance function including Management Accounts; Capital Projects; and Transactions (covering Accounts Payable, Bus Operator Payments and Accounts Receivable). This will give you the opportunity to gain exposure to real business challenges whilst gaining a fully funded Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification. The duration of this apprenticeship is 18 months with a potential to continue ...

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

If you're looking to develop your accountancy skills to lead finance departments or provide management accounting consultancy, CIMA is your ticket. CIMA is split into Certificate, a standalone 'beginner' qualification, and Professional, which is split into three levels: Operational, Management, and Strategic. The Certificate in Business Accounting is your starting point if you're new to accountancy. You'll learn the fundamentals of business economics, financial accounting, management accounting, and ethical considerations of commercial activity. Operational teaches you about organisational management, costs and analysis used in production, and financial reporting and taxation. Management equips you with the skills to perform advanced management accounting and advanced financial reporting tasks. Strategic develops your leadership and strategic management abilities, and teaches you about risk management and financial strategy.
