About the apprenticeship


Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. A successful candidate will be expected to participate in all training offered. (See specific training under 'training' box below.)
2. In order to gain the certificates, the candidate is expected to practice outside normal scheme hours. In addition to the training, in-house training is given on all the various camp activities
including the climbing wall, high ropes course, team building, orienteering problems, trampoline, pony trekking, motor karting, go-karting and night activities.
3. The apprentice will be expected to undertake the Camp staff rota which involves weekends and late night and antisocial hours. Extra time will be given for this.
4. Many of the general duties of the Center fall to the members of the Activities Department. These will include cleaning and maintaining various areas and equipment within the Camp, filling food and beverage machines, and providing assistance to other sections of the Camp as required.
5. Due to the nature of the Centre, applicants will have to respond to various demands and demands from time to time.



vi. Experience of working with children and young people would be an advantage
vii. Experience of leading activities will be an advantage
viii. An understanding of the aims and objectives of Urdd Gobaith Cymru


i. The ability to speak and write Welsh will be essential for this post
ii. A number of relevant training courses will be required for job development
iii. Applicant must be 16 years of age or over
