GCSE or equivalent 5 x GCSE's including Maths, English and Science (Grade 9 - 5) Essential
A Level or equivalent including Maths and a Physical Science (Grade A*-C) Essential
Things to consider
You will be based in Doncaster for the first year of the apprenticeship. From year two, you will start completing rotations in different locations. These will range in duration from 1 month up to 9 months and you will receive additional allowances, on top of your basic salary to assist with the cost of staying away from home or relocating.
Working alongside our experienced engineers and construction professionals, you will develop the skills to contribute to successful construction projects.
This will include:
- Developing knowledge and understanding of geotechnical design processes
- Conducting engineering measurements, checks, inspections and tests to ensure quality compliance
- Contributing to documenting plans, programmes, method statements and risk assessments
- Using digital solutions to solve technical problems
- Developing practical understanding of the importance of health and safety and the environmental requirements involved in civil engineering
- Understanding and applying industry specifications, codes, standards and guidance
- Participating in site inductions, morning briefings & toolbox talks
- Interpreting and analysing of information including analysis of data, producing models, calculations, reports and drawings
- Identify and manage risk both in a project setting and during the design process
- Contributing to sustainable engineering solutions

- Funding and support to help you achieve a Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree qualification
