What will the apprentice be doing?

Main Responsibilities:

Support the widespread usage of Circana tools and capabilities within the client organisation through:
  • Coordinating, executing, analysing, and presenting findings from core market tracking and customer databases, purchased by the client; making relevant recommends for potential opportunities and actionable next steps
  • Creating and presenting high-level insights
  • Delivery of stakeholder engagement - training, usage tracking and presenting
  • Deliver ad hoc insights and regular reporting as requested by key stakeholders at the client -using Circana tools & solutions
  • Support the smooth running of client deliveries through the project management of internal Circana departments to ensure any changes or technical developments are managed and rolled out in a timely manner

In order to deliver on these key areas you will need to:
  • Have an aptitude to manage and interpret multiple data sources.
  • Coordinate, execute, analyse and present findings from a variety of data sources (focused mainly on market and loyalty data) recommending potential action steps and additional opportunities
  • Support in the management of high quality on-going analytic and ad-hoc requests - collaborating with peers
  • Effectively express content in writing and verbally
  • Support and drive the business agenda for all client stakeholders in addition to other relevant departments and stakeholders through detailed category and retail environment knowledge
  • Utilise creativity in identifying new techniques and processes
  • Understand Circana core solutions to work consultatively with the client to meet their needs
  • Manage, develop and leverage strong, collaborative relationships with Morrisons and internal stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between the client and internal Circana departments
  • Drives incremental revenue by establishing the fundamentals of quality insights and added value across all engagement with the client
  • Consults with our client on a full range of Circana services, including Category Management, Range Resets, Ranging, Analytics and Targeted Marketing and develops Circana revenue opportunities
  • Coaching, support and line management of future Apprentices 2 - 3 years into the program

In addition to on the job training and onboarding to help you learn your new role, you will also have support from your university tutors and fellow apprentices.

We want you to succeed in your role, so you will be invited to sessions in the office our other apprentices to share knowledge, learn more about different areas of the business & get involved in new projects (whilst also helping with some practical university support). Each year, you will have an opportunity to look at alternative options in the business and if you successfully complete your degree, we will support you in finding the right role to continue your career at Circana.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Qualification:
  • Chartered Manager Business Degree B.A Hons

Training:
  • Training will be held one day a week every Wednesdays at Ealing Campus

Location:
  • The University of West London (UWL) is based in Ealing, the closest underground/rail stations are Ealing Broadway or South Ealing
  • You will work four days a week at Circana, whether that's in our state-of-the-art office in Bracknell, on site with our clients or at home

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
  • The successful candidates will, on successful completion of the apprenticeship, move into a permanent, full time role at IRI and will work with their line manager to identify the career path that they would like to take, this could be in a commercial, analytics, technical or service role
